A: Games run mid-late May through the end of July. U12G and U14G start games once their high school season is finished. U16/18 division begins games when final exams are finished in early June. All divisions play 10 games.
Q: Which field will the games be played on?
A: Most divisions play their games at RiverPark Field. Some divisions will play at Cherry Creek Field or Beaver Grove Field. In the past a few years, the U14 Coed division played at Beaver Grove, and both the U6 Coed and U6G played games at Cherry Creek.
Q: When and where will the team of my child practice?
A: Each team decides when and where to have practices. SSA encourages the coaches to plan on practicing at least once a week, at a time when most of the team can be present. Outlying teams can practice close to where they live.
Q: When will your game schedule be available?
A: Game schedules will be available at the same time that team rosters are available (beginning of May).
Q: How the teams are formed? Are there Negaunee or Ishpeming teams?
A: Teams are formed using many criteria, but, especially in young teams, much consideration is given to grouping players together by geographic location (where you live) or by school attended. If enough players register in the division, there will be a Negaunee team, an Ishpeming team, etc.
